A map that works without an account.
The free map does not require registration. Necessary browser storage supports privacy choices and core functions; optional analytics or advertising technologies are used only after the relevant choice.
Cookie and storage choices
The site stores your privacy preference in local browser storage for up to 180 days. Necessary storage cannot be disabled because it records your choice and supports security. Optional analytics helps us understand aggregate feature usage. Advertising is used only on eligible EuroPostcode information pages and is not required to use the map, postcode directory or API pages.
You can accept all, reject non-essential technologies or choose categories separately. Use the “Privacy & cookie settings” control shown on the site to change or withdraw your choice at any time.
Server logs
Like most websites, the hosting server may temporarily record technical request information such as IP address, requested path, browser identification and time. These logs are used for security, reliability and diagnostics.
Map and data providers
The map loads cartography and font resources from third-party map infrastructure. Those providers receive the technical network information required to serve the requested resources. Do not enter personal or confidential information into the search field.
Freight list workspace
Excel, CSV and pasted freight lists are read in your browser. OpenFreightMap does not upload or store those imported rows in an application account or database. The browser requests only the postcode data shards needed to place recognized postcodes on the map. Clear the workspace or close the page to remove the current imported list.
AI-assisted location searches
When a search is written as a location description, its text may be sent to OpenAI for interpretation and the resulting place queries to a geocoding provider for verification. OpenFreightMap requests that the AI response is not stored and does not save these descriptions in an application database. Do not use this feature for personal, confidential or sensitive addresses.
Clipboard and location
Copy and Share buttons write only the selected postcode codes or page link to your clipboard. The current version does not request your precise device location.
API usage
Commercial API keys are stored as cryptographic hashes. The service records a customer identifier, plan and aggregate monthly request count for authentication, abuse prevention and billing support. API request content is not intentionally retained in the usage counter.
Business enquiries
When you submit the EuroPostcode business form, we store the name, work email, company, requested plan, estimated usage and use-case description you provide. This information is used to answer the enquiry, prepare access or a quote, and keep a record of the business discussion. It is not sold to advertising companies.
Advertising provider
Where advertising consent is given, EuroPostcode may load Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may process identifiers, device information, IP address and page interaction data to deliver, limit and measure advertisements, and—only where permitted by your consent—to personalise them.
